Annual Yard Sale 7AM-1PM

The Annual Cambridge Ave. Yard Sale will take place Saturday, April 4, and the Ministry of Outreach will again coordinate our church’s involvement. You are asked to bring your contributions to the church and place them on the stage in the Fellowship Hall.

 

This year’s Bake Sale proceeds will go to the proposed youth after school program.

 

Volunteers are needed to sort items beginning Monday, March 30-through Friday, April 3.

Living Through Loss (Grief Recovery)

Living through Loss

“Living Through Loss” Wednesday, February 4, at 4:00 p.m. in the Fireside Room.  Rev. Kathy Denman is the facilitator.

 

“Living Through Losses” offers a small group process that recognizes, honors, and helps people going through life losses that have to do with aging, loss of physical capabilities, loss of friends, loss of living independently, as well as losses due to death, estranged relationships, etc.

Meeting Times Set

 

Tucker Russell, in collaboration with youth of our church and their families, have set new YOUTH GROUP meeting times- the first and third Saturday, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

 

YOUNG ADULT, led by Victor and Saundra Dominguez, meet the first and third Sunday each month, beginning at 6:00 p.m.

 

ANOTHER VOICE, a Bible and study discussion group for those concerned with a theological view on issues of concern to the LGBTQI community, now meets the first and third Tuesday each month, beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Wednesday, February 4, at 6:00 p.m. in the Parlor;  Sacred Pursuits continues its way through Diarmaid McCullogh’s landmark work on “Christianity: The First Three Thousand Years.”

 

Pastor Norman transcribes the chapters so that participants can follow the author’s material.

Annual Galloway Memorial Organ Evensong

The “Galloway Memorial Organ Evensong” will be presented in the sanctuary of the First Congregational Church of Fresno, February 8, 2015 at 4:00 PM. Once known as the “Organ Evensong,” these annual services were established and performed by the late Richard “Dick” Galloway, long- time organist of the Church. Dick’s last concert was performed in 2001.

Free admission, though a free-will offering will be taken.
